Google LLC, the US-based multinational technology company whose mission is to “organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful,” considered diversity, equity, and inclusion as business imperatives. According to Google, it was committed to increasing workforce representation and to creating a more inclusive culture. Google came out with its first annual diversity report in 2014, and over the years, the reports showed how the company had been building a more representative workforce. This case study is about the Diversity Report published in 2019. The students are asked to check Google’s claims about growing diversity and inclusivity in its workforce against this report. |
